Family, friends, tears, and swords. Those are the words I would use to describe this wedding. Yes, swords. Yes, literally. You’ll have to scroll to see ;)
On this episode on KD Photography, your San Francisco photographres traveled up north to Snohomish, WA. The venue: Maroni Meadows. This is actually the venue that my sister got married in a few years ago. It was so fun to come back and get to relive where I drank too much merlot.
See above for the most beautiful details. I LOVE the terracota, green combo. Devin and I used these colors for our wedding as well so we gained lots of inspiration from Jessica & Samuel. Anyways, we started off this sweet day photographing the first look then got straight into running around the property for more bride & groom portraits. Maroni Meadows is one of those venues where all of the property space can be utilized for photographs. Every little nook and corner is disguised as this magical jungle oasis. It felt like we were in a cold Hawaii.
One thing I observed throughout the day is the couple’s family and friend group were tightly knit. They weren’t afraid to show their love and affection for one another and it made for a heartfelt family session. Which is normally the time when everyone’s like “okay next thing please”. I normally don’t post these because they aren’t exciting but it felt essential for this wedding.
OK. The ceremony had everyone crying. I think I even saw Devin a little teary eyed. The love and respect these two have for each other just radiates off of them. I don’t think anybody would doubt their love.
Of course we had to sneak off after their ceremony for a little bit. These photos are always my favorite part of photographing weddings. The just-married bliss. Obsessed.
See? Swords! These too literally cut their cake with a freakin’ sword.
Of course their first dance as adorable and silly and goofy.
Last but not least, I had to post these pictures that I would call “bloopers”. Not the best photos, but the funniest for sure. We always make sure to include these in the galleries because our bride and grooms love to see them too!
